From Cape Town
Take the N2 in direction east toward Somerset West. The highway leads you over the Sir Lowry`s Pass until the exit to Hermanus via the N43. Follow the N43 through Hermanus and pass Stanford until you reach De Kelders. Take the first exit, drive 300 m down to the coast and turn to the right into Cliffstreet. VillaWhalebay is the last house on the left side
Scenic Route from Cape Town
Recommended route if you have an extra 60 minutes
With this route the vacation already starts during your ride. Instead of crossing the Sir Lowry`s Pass take the last exit before the pass to the right to Gordons bay (follow the brown sign : “Whale coast route”). In Gordons Bay village turn to the left and follow the scenic R44 Clarence drive. Take a coffee break at the Harold Porter Botanical Garden in Bettys Bay and stroll through the garden (on the left side of the road). After Kleinmond the road crosses the R43, where you turn right towards Hermanus. Follow the R43 through Hermanus until you reach De Kelders. Take the first exit, drive 300 m down to the coast and turn to the right into Cliffstreet. VillaWhalebay is the last House on the left side
From Garden Route
Follow the N2. After passing Riviersonderend, turn to the left onto the R 326 until you reach Stanford.Turn left towards Gansbaai on the R43. After 10 min you reach the first exit to De Kelders. Drive 300 m down to the coast and turn to the right into Cliffstreet. VillaWhalebay is the last House on the left side.
